What an AI assistant inside Slack is for
Most teams already talk about work in Slack: who needs a follow-up, when the meeting is, what last week’s numbers were. An assistant that lives there saves the step of opening another app, copying the context over, and pasting the answer back. You ask where the conversation already is, and the result lands in the same thread.
The useful ones do more than answer questions. They take action with the same access a teammate would have, and they check with you before anything that goes outside the company.
Concrete things you can ask for
Draft follow-up emails
“Draft a follow-up to everyone from yesterday’s call with Northwind, with the three next steps we agreed.” Teddo writes the draft in your own Gmail, in your tone, and shows it to you in Slack. It sends only when you say so, and it asks for confirmation before emailing anyone outside your company.
Book meetings
“Find 30 minutes with Dan and Priya next week and send the invite.” Teddo checks the calendars it can see, proposes a slot, and books it. Moving or cancelling works the same way.
Post weekly numbers into a channel
“Weekly numbers: new revenue from Stripe, new deals from HubSpot, signups from Google Analytics. Post it here and keep a sheet.” Teddo pulls the figures, writes a short summary with the change from last week, and keeps the history in a Google Sheet. The next week, “do the Monday numbers the way we did last week” is enough. More on this in the weekly report guide.
Write and update Google Docs and Sheets
“Turn this thread into a one-page brief in Google Docs.” “Add this month’s supplier prices to the pricing sheet.” Teddo creates the file in your Drive and posts the link. It opens only files it created or that you point it to.
Answer questions from your own data
“How many customers churned in August?” With Stripe, a database or analytics connected, Teddo answers with the number and where it came from. Database connections are read-only.
How setup works
- Add to Slack. One click from this page. Teddo appears in your workspace as a member you can message or mention in any channel.
- Connect your own Google account. Each person signs in with the Google account they already use. Teddo acts only in the account of the person who asked.
- Plug in other tools if you want. Stripe, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Postgres, MySQL and Notion are added in Settings in about a minute each, and any other tool with an API can be connected with its key.
- Ask for something. Plain words, the way you would ask a person.
Privacy basics
- What it sees in Slack: only messages that mention it or are sent to it, and their threads.
- Where data lives: Teddo’s servers and backups are in Frankfurt, Germany, in the EU. The AI providers it uses process each request in the United States.
- Training: your messages, email, documents and numbers are never used to train AI models, ours or our providers’.
- Outsiders: Teddo asks for confirmation in Slack before it emails or invites anyone outside your company.
- Leaving: everything is deleted within 30 days of removing Teddo.

What it does not do
Teddo works in Slack only, not Microsoft Teams. It has no voice interface and does not generate images. If those matter to you, it is better to know now.
